Nassau County (FL) Celebrates Construction of Fire Station 10 in Yulee

Nassau County Fire Rescue members were invited to tour what will be a new home hopefully at the end of the year, the department said in a Facebook post recently.

Station 10 has been a project in the making for 16 years. While the station 70 and 90 builds are replacing the old 70 and 90 stations, station 10 is an added station for the community.

The station is being built through a public-private partnership with GreenPoint Holdings, wokv.com reported.

The new, modern facility will consist of almost 8,500 square feet, will feature three bays with an engine, rescue unit, and tanker, and contain 11 sleeping quarters, a living room, kitchen, and exercise room, wokv.com reported.

This brings NCFR to nine fire stations to serve the citizens.

Commissioner Klynt Farmer informed the guest that all three of the fire station builds have been accomplished without a tax increase to the citizens and will not effect a possible millage rate role back for the 4th year in a row.
