On Saturday, June 8, the Kootenai County Fire Rescue held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for the new Fire Station 4 at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds, the department said in a Facebook post recently.

The beautiful North Idaho weather and a fantastic new fire department facility were a wonderful setting for the event. Thank you to the great crowd who joined to celebrate. Thank you also to the staff who put together a traditional fire department ceremony that highlighted the department’s tradition, history, and future.

Kootenai County Fire Rescue looks forward to doing this again soon as Station 3 in Post Falls gets nearer to completion.
