Car Hits Howe Springs (SC) Fire Station 4, Damaging Building and Apparatus

Howe Springs Fire Rescue Station 4 and a fire apparatus were damaged after a vehicle crashed into the department’s building Saturday, July 20, the department said in a Facebook post.

A dark color GMC Envoy driven by a white female crashed into the fire station located at 6128 Old River Road at approximately 1:20 p.m. Saturday, the department said in the post. The station is partially out of service due to the damage done to the building. The fire apparatus was also damaged. The back of her vehicle was damaged and her bumper was dragging when she fled the scene. South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating and following up on leads from witnesses.
