WATCH | Tour Atlanta Public Safety Training Center

The City of Atlanta Police Department made the following post on Facebook recently:

“Let’s take a tour of the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center – Academic and Leadership Buildings.

“This center is more than just a building—it’s a critical investment in our community’s future. By providing dedicated learning spaces for both firefighters and police officers, the facility will enhance the training and preparedness of our first responders.

“A well-equipped training environment is essential for ensuring that public safety professionals have the skills and knowledge they need to protect and serve Atlanta effectively. These learning spaces will offer specialized training scenarios, fostering collaboration between different departments and ensuring that our emergency services are ready to respond to any situation with the highest level of expertise.”

Another feature to look forward to at the new Public Safety Training Center is the Skills Pad, which will provide essential training for emergency vehicle operations and heavy equipment use. Currently, this resource isn’t available within the city, requiring recruits to travel to Douglas and Gwinnett Counties for proper training. With this new facility, our first responders and other city departments will have access to the resources they need right here in Atlanta. This will enhance their preparedness and directly benefit residents by ensuring safer streets and more efficient public services.
