Saint-Gobain NFPA-Certified Hazmat Suit

Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics will introduce its new hazmat suit, ONESuit Pro, at the Fire Department Instructors Conference in Indianapolis in April.

The suit is the first product certified to both the 1991 and 1994 standards of the National Fire Protection Association, according to the company. The suit weighs under ten pounds and protects against chemical and biological agents in liquid and vapor form.

Exhibiting Saint-Gobain’s patent-pending CoreTech Barrier Membrane technology, the suit offers a single-skin design for maneuverability and user comfort in challenging environments. The hazmat suit is compactable and promises a minimum seven-year shelf life. Affordability is another feature, said Matthew Madeksza, a company general manager.

In addition to the ONESuit Pro, Saint-Gobain makes other NFPA-certified chemical protective gear, including ONESuit Flash, ONESuit Gard and ONEGlove Hazmat.
