Globe Introduces G-XTREME® 3.0, Partners with Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund at FDIC International 2015

By Chris Mc Loone

FDIC International is the premier event each year for various fire service suppliers to debut their newest products, and this year’s show will be no different for Globe. However, the show is also an opportunity to showcase existing products as well. “FDIC is the premiere show to introduce new products and showcase popular legacy offerings to firefighters at every level and from around the world,” says Rob Freese, senior vice president, marketing at Globe. “Visitors to our exhibit range from new firefighters in their first set of gear to veteran firefighters and officers who have decades of experience wearing, testing, and purchasing gear. When it comes to personal protective equipment (PPE) and life safety, no question is insignificant, and every suggestion is considered by Globe.”

In terms of new products, FDIC International is where Globe will introduce the evolution of Athletic Gear for Firefighters. The new G-XTREME® 3.0 is completely retailored from collar to cuff to provide unrestricted mobility for even the most athletic firefighter. With all the features of the original breakthrough design, including Globe’s exclusive AXTION® Back, Sleeve, Seat, and Knee, Globe says that firefighters instantly feel how these improvements let them, make all the right moves. And like the original, G-XTREME®3.0 comes in SHAPES to fit your body better.

Also at FDIC International, Globe will demonstrate GORE® PARALLON™, a new liner system that reduces heat stress in a wide range of environments and improves thermal protection when wet, as well as the PBI® Lightweight Gold™ System, which is lighter and more flexible without compromising protection and durability. The new G-XTREME® 3.0 will be unveiled with both of these component systems.

Globe will also continue its partnership with the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund at the Globe booth. Try the new gear for yourself on the Virtual Firefighter Athletic Circuit and Globe will make a donation to the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund in your name.

According to Freese, Globe is excited to sponsor the International Networking Event and International Lounge at FDIC International this year. “We invite all of our partners who keep first responders safe all over the world, and those first responders, to take advantage of these new resources this year,” he says. “We expect the show’s more targeted focus on international attendees to increase the number of people we see on the exhibit floor and that we will engage in meaningful discussion with them about firefighter protection and safety.”

Freese adds, “Globe has always welcomed international attendees to our exhibit at FDIC International, and we’ve formed lasting relationships as a result. This one-on-one time and hands-on experience with our products is invaluable for large and small, urban and rural, career and volunteer, domestic and international departments and firefighters alike. Not only do attendees gain a better understanding of product features and benefits, but they also get a feel for the innovation and passion that goes into keeping them safe.”

Globe is at booth 2208.
