Fire-Dex recently appointed three people to sales and marketing positions.
Tony Moore joined Fire-Dex as the regional sales manager for the upper Midwest, which includes Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Moore has over 20 years of sales experience. Among his former roles were general manager of The Glove Corporation and international operations manager for Alfa Laval. He has a mechanical engineering degree from Uxbridge Technical College and lives with his family in Indiana.
Daniel Heng joined Fire-Dex as manufacturer’s representative for the Asia and India territories.
Heng, who lives in Singapore with his family, has sold turnout gear for over 20 years and brings with him a great product knowledge base, the company said. He previously was a senior regional sales and training manager, covering a full range of U.S. and European standard firefighting ensembles.
Abby Lehman joined Fire-Dex as the company’s new marketing coordinator.
She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Baldwin-Wallace College and a variety of experiences in customer relations, according to the company. Recently she was in charge of promoting several nonprofit agencies across the Greater Ohio area.
Medtec Ambulance Names Ellis VP/GM
Medtec Ambulance Corporation announced that Tony Ellis has been named vice president and general manager. He will have management responsibility for all aspects of Medtec operations, sales and product development.
“Tony’s strategic vision and valuable experience within the Fire and Emergency segment will be a tremendous benefit to the company,” said Wilson Jones, Oshkosh Corporation executive vice president. “With his insight and market knowledge, Tony will be a strong leader and guide Medtec’s future development and growth.”
Prior to his recent appointment as leader of Medtec Ambulance, Ellis served as general manager of Oshkosh Specialty Vehicles, a subsidiary of Oshkosh Corporation, which he joined in November 2000.
Medtec, based in Goshen, Ind., offers a full line of Type I, II, III and Additional Duty custom-built ambulances.
Pelican Appoints Corti As Senior VP
Pelican Products, a leading manufacturer of advanced lighting systems and virtually indestructible cases, appointed Stephan Corti senior vice president of worldwide sales.
Corti will serve in the strategic role of driving Pelican’s global sales growth by opening and developing new markets and partnerships. “His leadership qualities coupled with international sales, marketing and business experience will be invaluable to our team as we continue to expand Pelican’s global footprint,” said Lyndon Faulkner, Pelican’s president and CEO.
Prior to joining Pelican, Corti served as Technicolor’s senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing after being promoted from the same position in Europe. His experience includes several sales executive positions with international companies including Nimbus, Allied Signal and HILTI.
Corti is fluent in English, French, Italian and German and holds an advanced degree from the Harvard Business School (Executive Education Program), an MBA from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business and a Ph.D. and a master’s degree from the Universite de Nice-Sophia Antipolis.
Fire-Dex Promotes Walker To New Post
Fire-Dex has promoted Kate Walker to the company’s International Business Development position.
Walker, who received a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University in psychology/communications, will handle all international affairs for Fire-Dex. She will report to Chairman and CEO Bill Burke, who is also the company’s international sales manager.
Walker’s extensive product knowledge and superior customer relation skills will continue the growth of the international sales department, the company said.
Fire-Dex, based in Medina, Ohio, makes protective firefighting clothing and emergency response apparel.
