The Trevorton Fire Company purchased a 1996 Seagrave pumper from the Warrior Run Area Fire Department last month, the department said in a Facebook post recently.

“It is with great pride and honor that we are pleased to inform the communities of Trevorton and Zerbe Township, as well as surrounding townships, that Trevorton Fire Company No. 1 has acquired a new to us pumper, a 1996 Seagrave,” the fire company said.

The pumper has a 1,750-gpm pump and 1,000 gallon tank. The pumper replaces a 1990 Pemfab.

“We extend our gratitude to the Warrior Run Fire Department for their cooperation in the purchase of their apparatus,” the fire company said.

The new engine was placed into service June 2 at Station No. 1, 626 West Shamokin Street, Trevorton.

“We express our appreciation to the Zerbe Township supervisors for their ongoing support, and we are deeply grateful to our community for their unwavering support. Without your backing, none of this would be possible.”
