Connecticut State Police said troopers were on scene of a tractor-trailer rollover on I-95 southbound near exit 4 around 1 a.m. when two vehicles approached the scene, one striking the rear of the other, according to the report.
The collision resulted in the fire apparatus being struck by one of the involved vehicles, the report said.
