The Tullytown Fire Company (TFC) Station 33 made the following Facebook post recently:

With TFC’s current Engine 33 up for sale and its new Pierce PUC pumper still roughly a year or so out from delivery, TFC decided to get an older rig to serve as a reserve engine until the new one arrives. The plan was to also get the current rig out of service so it could be prepared to be sold.

TFC found a 1992 Sutphen Deluge pumper from Scottdale Volunteer Fire Department. TFC members made the four-and-a-half-hour drive to Scottdale to look at and test the pumper. It passed the test so TFC brought the reserve engine back to the station. The next few weeks, members of TFC will be trained on it and the rig will be equipped to serve the borough. And yes, the truck is green. More pictures will be posted once the pumper is officially in service.
