Compartment Door Pops Open on Pumper During Emergency Response Damaging West Warwick (RI) Fire Station No. 2

West Warwick Fire Station No. 2 at 834 Main Street will be temporarily closed for repairs after an accident Sunday, March 10 involving a pumper. A door on a compartment popped open and snagged the front of the building, turnto10.com reported.

The fire department posted the following on its Facebook page:

“Fire Station No. 2 at 834 Main Street will be temporarily closed for repairs after an accident today. Rescue 2 will be relocated to Station No. 3 and Engine No. 2 will be relocated to Station No. 1 until repairs are completed.

“No members of the department were injured as a result of the accident.”
