Chillicothe (IL)’s New Pumper Gets Push-In Ceremony, First Test

PRESS RELEASE

Wednesday, June 28: Last night Chilli Fire had a blessing with our CCFPD Chaplain and Pushing Ceremony for our new fire engine.

Monday, July 3: Our new Engine 1 was first due to its first fire, a fully engulfed garage. The first due crew of 4 made a quick stop on the fire. Engine 1 was on the scene in minutes, saving the home next door that only experiences some melted siding. Truck 1, Engine 2, Engine 5, Squad 4 and Fire 1 arrived sequentially after Engine 1. The team work of the amazing group of firefighters (pictured above) saved countless amounts of propery loss.

Thank you to the Dunlap Community Fire Protection District for covering our station with a Change of Quarters.

Thank you to our department Photographer John Gardner for the excellent photos.
