The Charleston Fire Department posted the following on its Facebook page Tuesday:

Apparatus Reveal: New Engine 120 is now in service!

This 2023 Pierce “Saber” chassis is equipped with a 1500 GPM pump, capable of carrying 1,000 gallons of water and is the first in our fleet to feature “Idle Reduction” technology designed to reduce fuel consumption during long operations.

Engine 120 is part of Battalion 106 and is located off Clements Ferry Road. Their primary response area includes Cainhoy and Daniel Island.
