Portland (ME) FD Takes Delivery of Two New Apparatus

The Portland, Maine Fire Department took delivery of two new apparatus recently.

Ladder 6 is a Pierce Enforcer 100-foot Ascendant aerial tower. Engine 9 is a Pierce Enforcer pumper with a 1,500 gallon-per-minute pump and a 750-gallon water tank.

“The two newest additions to our fleet were delivered today,” the department said in a Facebook post. “Over the next few weeks crews will mount equipment and radios will be installed.

“A factory representative will also be here to train the companies on their new apparatus before being placed into service.”
