Plymouth (IN) FD Dedicates New Pumper to Five Who Died in 1982 LODD

The Plymouth Fire Department took delivery of a 2024 Pierce Velocity pumper Wednesday, July 31, the department said in a Facebook post.

The new apparatus is dedicated to Al Kriscunas, Dane Hoffhien, Randy Hansen, Brian Samuels, and Gary Van Vactor, the five firefighters who lost their lives on July 31, 1982. The rig is named “Engine 82” and was delivered on the 42nd anniversary of this tragic accident.
