South Camden (NC) Buys 2003 Ladder Truck for $60K

The South Camden Fire Department in Camden County, North Carolina, recently saw an ad for a 2003 ladder truck, made the $60,000 offer and it was accepted, carolinacoastonline.com reported.

The ladder truck belonged to Atlantic Beach, North Carolina, which had voted unanimously to sell the longtime fire department rig for $60,000, the report said.

In 2022, Atlantic Beach bought and recently put into service a 2024 E-ONE HP-78 ladder truck to replace the aging 2003 ladder truck.

The town declared the 2003 truck “surplus” and advertised it for sale.
