Green Oak Charter Township (MI) Fire Department Wins $12.5M Approval for New Fire Station, Ladder Truck

Voters approved funding for a new fire station and a new ladder truck for the Green Oak Charter Township (MI) Fire Department, according to a report from Livingston Daily.

The bond issue appropriates $12.5-millon for a new fire station and funding for replacing a 27-year-old aerial, according to the report.

The new facility will be 18,500 square feet and have more room for staff quarters and a large training room and will be constructed on property just behind the current structure, which was built in 1992, according to the report.

In 20 years, the bond is expected to be paid off with an estimated millage of 0.5905 mills in the first year, according to the report.
