Concord (VA) VFD Apparatus Flips During Emergency Call

At 2:31 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, the Concord Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a chimney fire on Smoky Hollow Road, the department said in a Facebook post.

Engine 13-2 was responding to the scene when it was involved in a crash at Smoky Hollow Road and Holiday Lane. A medic unit responding to the fire pulled up on the crash and called it in. Engine 13-1 and EMS 8 left the chimney fire and responded to the crash. All personnel inside the engine were wearing seatbelts and were uninjured.

The crash is under investigation.
