Prince William (VA) County Firefighters Hospitalized After Ambulance Accident

Two firefighters from Prince William County were hospitalized Thursday night following an ambulance collision in Woodbridge.

The incident, which occurred at Telegraph Road and Opitz Boulevard around 9:40 p.m. Thursday, resulted in the ambulance flipping over after striking another vehicle, Prince William Times reports.

Fortunately, there were no patients onboard at the time, as confirmed by police radio reports.

Despite the proximity to Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, the ambulance was empty. Photos from the scene indicated the ambulance belonged to Dale City Fire Department.
