Medtec Ambulance Has Advanced Safety Features

Medtec Ambulance Corporation has developed a Type II ambulance on a Dodge Sprinter chassis with features designed to enhance emergency medical technician (EMT) and patient safety.

The ambulance is equipped with global positioning and safety harness systems.

“The five-point harness system allows EMTs the full mobility needed to provide expert care, while safely restraining patients during transport,” said Pete Evans, Medtec Ambulance Corporation general manager. “The safety features inside the ambulance are state-of-the-art, including anti-microbial protection for interior surfaces, camera systems to maximize viewing during rapid response incidents, and low profile LED technologies to fully light the ergonomic interiors.”

The Euro-style design is complemented with modular, lightweight aluminum cabinets featuring curved surfaces and ample work station access. There are three oxygen locations, two waste locations, and multiple electrical outlets for auxiliary medical equipment.

The global positioning system is integrated into the multiplex system for responsive, accurate information on vehicle operations.
