The Liberty multiband land mobile radio by Thales successfully completed trunking interoperability testing, meeting the requirements of the Department of Homeland Security’s Project 25 Compliance Assessment Program.
The device operates in all modes with full encryption and enables multi-agency communications in the public safety frequency bands.
“The radio’s successful completion of the testing is in support of the FY 2007 SAFECOM recommended federal grant guidance,” said Steve Nichols, director of business development for homeland security and public safety for Thales Communications.
Thales, with operations in 50 countries, serves defense, aerospace, homeland security, and transportation markets with tactical electronic equipment and information systems. For information, go to www.thalescomminc.com.
