New E-ONE Pumper for Bedford (IN)

The Bedford (IN) Fire Department recently placed its newest apparatus, an E-ONE pumper, in service. According to the department, the top-mount pumper brings the fleet up to date.

The department’s fleet includes four engines and a ladder truck. the new E-ONE replaces a 1992 pumper, which the department has put up for sale.

Specs on the new rig include:

  • 2020 E-ONE Typhoon cab and chassis
  • Stainless steel body
  • 1,500-gpm Hale Qmax pump
  • FoamPro 1600 Class A foam system
  • 1,000-gallon tank
  • 30-gallon foam cell
  • Cummins L9 450-hp engine
  • Allison 3000 automatic transmission
