Pierce Dash CF Pumper Video Walk-Around

Chief Dale McCaskill walks around the Midlothian (TX) Fire Department’s Dash CF pumper. This is the fifth apparatus the department has bought from Pierce. Additional scene lighting allows for more illumination on scene and the lower profile in the front gives easy access in and out of the apparatus.

This apparatus was designed for accessibility. The fold-out step by the compartments allows for hard-to-reach areas to be more accessible. The enclosed PUC pump panel stays protected from the elements and still allows for easy access. Moving to the rear, the net pulley system allows for the hose to stay in place, while still allowing quick access to the hose. Many of the compartments were designed with EMS in mind and include pegboards for organized storage.
