The Pelham (AL) Fire Department received a new hazmat truck in February 2020 and recently demonstrated it at the Central Alabama Fire Chief’s Association meeting.
the truck features a weather station with a high-definition 40x thermal imaging camera and nine computer monitors, which also allow the truck to serve as a command center.

The Pelham Fire Department provides hazmat response for Shelby County, Alabama, in partnership with the Alabaster Fire Department, which handles decon. Alabaster Fire Department members spent three days training on the new rig.
