In this video, Deputy Chief Kerry Pickard describes one of the East Alabama (AL) Fire Department’s twins, an Enforcer Pumper equipped with a PUC Pump. These two engines will replace two rigs back home, manufactured in 1998. The pump panel was designed to be user-friendly. All frequently used valves were shifted to the left side of the panel and the ones not used as often are shifted down and out of the way. An advantage of the PUC pump configuration is the ability to have compartment storage on the top of the rig. This allows a low hosebed.
