Plano (TX) Fire Apparatus Damaged in Accident

A Plano fire truck was damaged when it was hit by a vehicle while blocking traffic to protect an accident scene, reports WBAP.

The ladder truck was parked across a traffic lane with all of its emergency lights on when it was hit shortly after 2:00 am. One firefighter was injured, but not seriously.

The driver of the car that hit the truck had to be extricated from the wreckage by firefighters, and is hospitalized with serious injuries.
