The Blastec Isolator Bin

CINTEC America has developed the Blastec Isolator Bin to provide temporary blast mitigation and fragment retention.

The product can be rapidly inflated with water in any location where suspect objects may be, including airports, restaurants, stores, post offices, and office buildings. The company said it ideally suited for first response and specialist emergency crews.

The Blastec Isolator Bin is made from an internally reinforced fabric and is designed to be deployed manually or robotically using appropriate bomb disposal equipment. The unit is open at the top and bottom to facilitate deployment and access to the suspect object if required.

The light-weight, compact unit measures 39 inches by 57 inches by 57 inches, but can be adjusted in size to meet customer requirements. The external fabric can be supplied to meet most environmental conditions and situations, according to the company.

Each unit weighs 33 pounds when empty and 2,850 pounds when full.  The volume per unit is 5.6 cubic feet when empty, and 67 cubic feet when full.

CINTEC America, located in Baltimore, Md. is a world leader in the field of structural masonry retrofit strengthening, repair, and preservation.
