New Braunfels (TX) City Council Approves Fire Apparatus Purchase

New Braunfels City Council unanimously approved the purchase of an Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting truck at their meeting.

Acting Fire Chief Derek Wrenn said they are getting the truck at a deep discount from the San Antonio Fire Department, with a total cost of about $30,000.

The truck has all-wheel drive, which allows it to go off-road should it need to in the case of an airplane crash in the area around the city airport.
