E-ONE Custom Pumper Has Unique Features

E-ONE
E-ONE released its latest pumper design at the FDIC Show. The modular design concept gives departments more custom options and versatility.

E-ONE unveiled its new custom pumper offering more custom options through a modular design at the 2006 Fire Department Instructors Conference.

“The pumpers on exhibit at FDIC were ideal for demonstrating the versatility of the new body design,” said Kirk Waddey, pumper product manager. Features exhibited included enhanced extended side assemblies, raised lower compartments and increased depth and width in compartments.

The new E-ONE custom pumper design provides space for up to eight SCBA bottles above the wheel well and suction hose storage at ground level. Some 10 cubic feet in the rear compartment was added without making the truck longer, according to the manufacturer.

The new modular design allows departments to customize their E-ONE pumpers in sections that can be easily removed and replaced as the department grows and its needs change.

Low pre-connects and an optional side, rear- or top-mounted pump operators’ panels allow the E-ONE pumper to be customized for optimal safety in the field, according to the manufacturer.
