E-ONE To Give Away Another Tradition ES Commercial Pumper

For the second year in a row, E-ONE will give away a $170,000 Tradition ES commercial pumper to a deserving fire department through a contest called “Tell Us Your Story.”

“We were astounded by the reaction to last year’s contest,” said E-ONE CEO Peter Guile. “From the hundreds of entries to the generous vendors and departments who donated to the cause, we felt compelled to once again partner with suppliers to build and donate a truck to the department the fire service votes to be the most deserving fire department in the U.S.”

As was the case last year, he said vendors throughout the industry have jumped at the opportunity to support the cause. One of the first to participate last year, International, a Navistar company, is a sponsor again this year.

Community Protection

“What E-ONE does with this program provides an entire community with protection beyond anything they could ever afford on their own,” said Jim Hebe, Navistar’s senior vice president of North American sales operations. “We at Navistar are proud to be a contributing sponsor in such a rewarding event.”

Fire departments throughout the U.S. will have until March 8 to submit their entries in 500 words or less explaining why they are the most deserving. Entries must be submitted online at www.E-ONE.com and will be reviewed by an internal E-ONE committee using selection criteria that can be found on the E-ONE Web site.

Finalists will be announced April 23, and their stories will be posted on the Web site. The winner will be decided through online voting by the fire service. Voting will end on Aug. 27 at 1 p.m. CST, and the winner will be announced at 3 p.m. on the IAFC trade show floor – booth 3549, McCormick Place, Chicago, Ill.
