The town of Orrington recently unveiled its new $680,000 pumper-tanker, wabi.tv reported.
“The EAGLE has landed,” the fire department said in a Facebook post. “After nearly three years in production, we have received our new E-ONE 2,500-gallon pumper-tanker. This new equipment will be replacing a 34-year-old tanker and a 29-year-old engine. We will be getting this truck into service over the next few weeks so you will be seeing us around town. We are thankful for the continued support of the community, the town manager, and our town selectmen.”
The two trucks Orrington replaced found homes with other Maine departments, the report said.
Lagrange purchased the tanker and Orrington donated the engine to the Stacyville Fire Department, which endured a devastating fire at its station earlier this year, according to the report.
