MANSFIELD — The Town of Mansfield will hold a second public hearing next week to discuss the Community Development Block Grant program.

The meeting will be held Monday at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers.

The project met Eligible Activity and National Objectives under Community Facilities. The grant was awarded to purchase an aerial/pumper truck for Fire Station 207 in Four Corners.

The total amount funded to Mansfield by the Department of Housing and Urban Development is $900,000 to purchase fire protection equipment.

The town applied for funding for public service improvement to assist low and moderate-income residents.

During the public hearing, the town will provide updates on the grant and allow residents to discuss the progression of the fire truck build/acquisition. They will also be able to comment on the Program Income Reuse Plan.

Those unable to attend the public hearing may submit a written comment to the Town Manager’s office by mail or call 860-429-3336.
