Two firefighters were injured when their Type 6 apparatus from the Marion County Fire District No. 1 rolled over on the way to the Town Gulch Fire, the Oregon State Fire Marshal said in a Facebook post.
The firefighters sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital for evaluation. The cause of the rollover is under investigation.
The Town Gulch Fire, located east of Baker City, grew several thousand acres, threatening hundreds of homes. Oregon Governor Tina Kotek invoked the Emergency Conflagration Act and the OSFM Blue Incident Management Team mobilized with four task forces.
