Kaille Randolph, the 26-year-old firefighter who got trapped under a fire apparatus after it wrecked on the way to an accident scene May 19, is back at work, the Wiggins Fire Department said in a Facebook post July 29.
“After a L O N G 72 days, we are grateful to announce that Firefighter Randolph is back to work with us, even if she’s still on light duty,” the department said.
In the accident, Randolph suffered a concussion, multiple lacerations, several broken bones in her foot, and second-degree burns on her legs, wxxv.com reported.
On the day of the accident, the Wiggins Fire Department made the following Facebook post:
“Around midnight our department was responding to a major vehicle accident when our engine got into an accident itself. The engine rolled and trapped one of our firefighters under it. The firefighter was life flighted to a hospital, but by the grace of God, is expected to make a full recovery. We are asking for prayers for the firefighter and the firefighter’s family, as well as all of us here at Wiggins Fire Department. We appreciate the support and look forward to continuing to serve our community and getting our firefighter back with us soon!”
