The Gaffney Fire Department has placed a new tool in its tool box, the department said in a Facebook post.
The department received a foam trailer that carries over 700 gallons of foam concentrate and will be used on hazardous material fires. With Interstate 85 and a railroad running through the district this new unit will help protect the community.
The foam trailer was provided “at very little cost through a federal program,” the post said. “Our staff has been training on it for the last few months,” according to the post.
