Phillips 66 donated close to $40,000 in January to the Hartford Fire Department. With the donation, the department purchased new bunker gear and installed new gear lockers at the station.

“We purchased new sets of gear, boots, helmets, gloves, and hoods,” the department said in a Facebook post. “We also purchased these gear storage lockers to keep our new gear clean and ready for the next call.

“Whether after an accident on the highway or after a fire, it is important to clean and maintain our gear. This setup will help promote organization and help our gear dry better after a call. The Hartford Fire Department is very grateful to have such good neighbors as P66.”
