The Pueblo West Fire Department officially opened its newest facility with a celebration Monday, June 24, kktv.com reported.
The grand ceremony for Fire Station 2 included a ‘Wet Down Ceremony’ and a tour of its brand-new facility.
This second station was created in hopes of improving response times and service coverage for the Pueblo West community, the report said. The Pueblo West Fire Department plans to equip the new station with modern firefighting and emergency medical service equipment, featuring a training room, living quarters for on-duty firefighters, and ample space for community engagement activities, according to the report.
