The Seminole County Fire Department made the following Facebook post Saturday, June 22:
Rehab 1 is a multifunctional apparatus, which will serve as an air/light and rehab unit. Rehab 1 will be utilized on scene for incidents with long durations due to extreme climates for health and safety of fire personnel.
Outside features include two large electric canopies on each side to serve as rehabilitation areas, a pull-out sink to for decontamination wash, and on board will be air conditioned and equipped with a restroom.
Other functions of Rehab 1 include a light tower that can be controlled remotely and an air compressor and fill station for breathing apparatus, so fire personnel have the ability to continue working on scene or to be back in full ready status before leaving the scene.
