The Marion County Fire District No. 1 held a traditional “push-in” ceremony for Heavy Brush 31 and Ladder 31, keizertimes.com reported.

Both will be housed at Station 1. Heavy Brush 31, provided by the Oregon State Fire Marshal as part of the agency’s Engine Program, will act as a wildland fire and urban fire vehicle, the report said.

Ladder 31, a Rosenbauer Custom King Cobra, will aid the department with the many multi-story buildings in the fire district.

Heavy Brush 31 was a 100% grant award from the State of Oregon, and a federal grant covered 55% of Ladder 31 build costs to offset the funds saved for the apparatus, according to the report.
