The Vienna Volunteer Fire Department recently took delivery of a 2024 Pierce pumper, wtap.com reported.
The pumper price was $781,000, and, along with the equipment, adds up to a little over $800,000, the report said.
The department was able to build it from the ground up, just the way they wanted it, the report said. Every 20 to 25 years, VVFD rotates its trucks in order to keep everything running smoothly.
Earlier this year, Vienna donated an older apparatus to Ripley Fire Department, also in West Virginia, the report said.
