A Stockton Fire Department pumper slammed into a home after colliding with two other vehicles while responding to a call Wednesday.
The Stockton Police Department responded to the scene at West Lane and Alpine Avenue around 7:05 a.m. where the collision occurred, KCRA reports.
According to authorities, the fire engine was responding to a call with light and siren when it collided with a red sedan at the intersection. The fire engine then crossed the center median and struck an SUV before ultimately coming to rest in a house.
Meanwhile, a gas station employee said the owner of the damaged home was away, buying coffee across the street, when the fire truck smashed into the home.
The driver of the SUV was critically wounded and was rushed to the hospital, while the driver of the sedan sustained minor injuries. Four firefighters on board the engine were transported to the hospital with minor injuries, KCRA reports.
