Dothan (AL) FD Adds Two New Pumpers and Ladder Truck for $2.3M

The Dothan Fire Department recently put three new fire apparatus in service — two new front-line pumpers and a ladder truck, dothaneagle.com reported.

The new apparatus were on display recently at the Dothan Civic Center on Troy Street. Firefighters were on site ready to answer any questions regarding the new units.

The city bought one of of the pumpers in 2021, another in 2022 and the ladder truck in 2023, the report said. All three apparatus combined to cost $2.3 million total, the report said. The two pumpers averaged approximately $670,000 each and the ladder truck cost nearly $1 million.
