Worcester (MA) FD Holds Blessing for Five New Apparatus

The city of Worcester and the Worcester Fire Department held a blessing of five new apparatus at the fire department’s headquarters Tuesday, Nov. 14, the city said in a press release.

The five new apparatus consists of three ladder trucks and two pumpers. The trucks will be put into service to replace Ladder 3 at the Southbridge Street station, Ladder 7 at the Park Avenue station, Ladder 1 at the Franklin Street station, Engine 13 at the Southbridge Street station, and Engine 11 at the West Boylston Street station.

The new equipment cost about $7 million.
