The city of Lawrence Fire Department has taken delivery of new Holmatro Pentheon extrication tools, the department said in a Facebook post recently.
This updates tools that have been in service since 2011. The department received a large cutter, mini cutter, spreader, and ram. The battery-operated tools are lighter, cordless, and easier to maneuver.
All of these things will allow our firefighters to operate more efficiently on auto extrication responses.
