It’s never easy describing the feelings that come every year on September 11. As many do, I looked back on that day and reflected about what I did that day, where I was when everything transpired, and the resiliency of Americans on full display. Additionally, I remain amazed at how the fire service stepped up immediately in the midst of such tragedy, and how the foundations our firefighting careers are built on prepared us to move forward that day at a time when it was hard not to stand still.
