Ladder 2 Put in Service by Wausau (WI) Fire Department

An aerial truck designed by firefighters to accommodate the needs of the Wausau (WI) Fire Department, was put in service during a dedication ceremony at Fire Station 2 on Wednesday, according to a report published by WSAW CBS 7.

The new truck, built by Sutphen has a 75-foot mid-mount ladder, a 1,500-gpm pump and a remote-controlled aerial master stream, according to the television station.

It will carry advance life saving medical equipment and extrication tools as well, according to the report.

Ladder 2 will replace a 1984 apparatus that was decommissioned last year because of safety concerns, the report said.
