KIMTEK Expands Product Line
KIMTEK CORP, headquartered in Westmore, Vt., expanded its line with two new products, the FIRELITE Transport Pacer skid unit for firefighting and rescue operations and the Emergency Utility Vehicle (EUV), which is built on a Polaris Ranger chassis.
KIMTEK’s FIRELITE Transport Pacer is designed to fit into many makes and models of 4x4 and 6x6 off-road utility vehicles. Optional Darley Davey high-pressure pumps and Hannay Reel hose reels are available.
All FIRELITE units are made with a storage compartment and a rescue area on top of the unit with two 48 inch long grab rails so a rescue basket or a long board can be secured to the unit making them suitable for wildland fire operations and rescue functions.
KIMTEK Corp. has introduced an off-road firefighting and rescue vehicle. It is called the Emergency Utility Vehicle (EUV) and is based on a Polaris Ranger chassis. The unit can be equipped with a rescue and medical skid unit or with skid unit with firefighting capabilities including a 75-gallon tank and a 5.5 hp centrifugal pump. |
The EUV is built on either a 4x4 or a 6x6 Polaris Ranger off-road vehicle with a custom red chassis. Other colors are available. It has a complete Whelen lighting, siren and PA package, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) style reflective striping, custom logos and lettering, portable radio holders, scene lighting and a fire extinguisher.
Customers can purchase EUVs with KIMTEK’s MEDLITE or one of three FIRELITE skid units. They are also available with an optional winch, roof, windshield and other equipment.
