Kwik-Eject Prevents Arcing Damage
Havis-Shields Equipment Corp. has introduced its Kwik-Eject automatic power line disconnect system.
The device is designed to turn off the power to the plug before it ejects it preventing damage and burned-up plugs due to arcing, according to the manufacturer.
Kwik-Eject mounts on apparatus and disconnects AC power cords, typically used for battery conditioning and other devices on apparatus that need AC power while parked. The Kwik-Eject is competitively priced while offering high quality, according to the company, which said it uses heavier springs, a larger diameter ram, and a newly designed cover plate compared to its competition.
Kwik-Eject has been tested over 10,000 cycles to ensure long life, the manufacturer said. The product is easy to install or retrofit, according to the company, and has a polydomed label showing incoming voltage, cycles and amperage.
